I am an (online) high school textbook author working for a company that services approximately 15-20 different states. Recently, several states have added the four major Microsoft Office Suite 2007 programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access) as curricular requirements--for both Windows and the Mac OSX and I have just entered the planning stage for the Excel lesson. However, from what I understand, there are major differences between the Windows 2007 and Mac 2008 program versions. I only have access to the Windows version, though (our office is PC only.) I have searched every way I can think of to find some sort of comparison listing but to absolutely no avail. I was hoping to learn: • Is there some way to get a basic list of operative differences? Skype for mac screen sharing. Or are they really two distinctly different programs that may, in the end, require two different lessons? • And assuming they require two different lessons, will I be able to understand/explain the Mac program without actually trying the functions myself, first? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I regularly use both versions of Excel (Mac 2008 and Windows 2007). The differences between them are largely attributable to differences in the operating systems -- they just work differently. As far as spreadsheet basics go, however, there is little difference. The fundamentals are all the same. I've personally found the Mac 2008 version to be less sophisticated than Windows 2007. There are a number of features in Windows 2007 Excel which are not in Mac 2008 Excel, which strikes me as bizarre. Additionally, a number of the plugins that are available for Windows Excel do no operate in the Mac environment, which is a sad loss. Download the official µTorrent® (uTorrent) torrent client for Windows, Mac, Android or Linux-- uTorrent is the #1 bittorrent download client on desktops worldwide. Project Maelstrom, by µTorrent. Ad-free streaming torrents. Download files from torrents. Microsoft Office for Mac OS is mainly used in the business organisation for the maintenance of their business records, and It provides you with plenty of features, in which helps you a lot in uTorrent for Mac is the most famous BitTorrent clients, which is fast, lightweight and easy to use BitTorrent client. Size: 110 MB. More than 10.000 downloads. Category: Office suites. Now you can have all the Office functionality in your Mac. Excel comes with the OS (operating system) you already have, if it is Microsoft. If you use Microsoft, it should be on your computer, just search for it in the Start Menu. If you are using a Mac, you will not find 'Microsoft Excel', but a program similar to it. Solved My computer crashed and I need to open EXCEL on a different computer that doesn't have Microsoft Office on it. Is there a prog; solved Cant open Microsoft word,pp,excel, etc.The application. Given the choice of operating systems, Mac wins all the way, but given the choice of Excel versions, Windows definitely has the upper hand. Unfortunately, this has gotten worse over time: Excel 97 and 98, and then 2003/2004 were essentially identical on both platforms. For 2007/2008, there are many more differences. Here's a starter list of things that we have hit, by no means complete: 2008 can no longer run VBA macros 2008 does not have new 'ribbon' interface, but has menus more similar to the 2003/2004 versions 2008 does not have the Analysis Tookpack 2008 does not have the 'Find Duplicates' conditional formatting. Sheets with this formatting give an error when opened in 2008, and will only open read-only, without the formatting showing. Fire wall for mac. I suppose we could speculate about why Microsoft is making the Mac version less capable than the Windows version.
